FAQs

Answers to the questions I'm asked most often.

About the artwork

✦
Are your Islamic paintings original and hand painted?

Yes. Every piece in my Hand-Paintings collection is an original Islamic painting, hand painted by me in Sydney with acrylic on canvas. It's handmade Islamic art, so no two pieces are exactly the same.

Who designs your Islamic wall art prints?

I do. Every print is hand designed by me – drawn and painted digitally in Procreate, Affinity and Photoshop. I never use stock images.

What is the difference between an original Islamic painting and a canvas print?

A painting is a one-of-a-kind Islamic canvas painting, painted by hand. A print is one of my digital designs, produced as an Islamic canvas print or framed print in Sydney and Melbourne. Prints cost less and come in more sizes.

Which Quran verses and designs do you offer?

My Arabic calligraphy wall art includes Ayatul Kursi wall art, Bismillah wall art, the 99 Names of Allah (Asma ul Husna), Kalima and Allah and Muhammad ﷺ calligraphy, the 4 Quls, Surah Fatiha, and many more Quran verse paintings and duas.

Do you have modern and large Islamic wall art?

Yes. I make modern Islamic wall art in abstract, minimal and textured styles. For big walls, my large Islamic wall art sets come in 2, 3, 4 or 5 canvases.

Will I see my painting before it is shipped?

Yes. For made-to-order paintings, I email you photos of the work in progress and the finished painting before shipping.

Will the colours match the product photos?

Very closely, but screens show colours a little differently. Hand paintings can also vary slightly in shade and brush strokes.

Custom orders

✦
Do you take custom Islamic art orders?

Yes. I create custom Islamic art and custom Arabic calligraphy wall art based on your idea – a Quran verse, a dua, a favourite phrase, or one of my existing designs in different colours or a different size.

Can I get a custom piece as a painting or a print?

Both. I can hand paint an original piece on canvas, or design it digitally and produce it as a fine art canvas print or framed print.

How long does a custom order take?

On average 3–4 weeks from design approval to delivery. The exact time depends on the size and type of artwork.

Will I see the design before it is finished?

Yes. I share the concept with you first, then send progress photos as I work. You approve the final design before it is completed.

Is a deposit required for custom artwork?

Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required before I start your artwork.

How much does a custom artwork cost?

It depends on the size, style and detail. Send me your idea through the custom order form and I'll send you a quote.

Can a custom order be returned?

Custom pieces are made just for you, so they can't be returned. If anything arrives damaged, contact me and I'll make it right.

Do you create Islamic art for masjids?

Yes. I've created custom calligraphy wall art for Parramatta Masjid, and I take on masjid and mosque wall art projects in Sydney and surrounding areas. See my Masjid Works or contact me to discuss your space.

Prints and framing

✦
What framing options are available?

My Islamic frames come in three styles: stretched canvas, framed Islamic wall art prints (black, white, walnut or maple), and floating frame canvas (black, white, natural wood or dark wood).

Does the Islamic wall art arrive ready to hang?

Yes. All canvases and framed prints arrive ready to hang. Artworks on paper, like wasli and watercolour pieces, come unframed.

How do I choose the right size?

Above a sofa or bed, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture. For a large empty wall, a multi-canvas set works well.

What are the delivery times?

All times include 2–3 business days for me to process your order.

Australia: prints take about 3 weeks – 2–3 business days to process, 4–5 business days to print, plus 7–8 business days for delivery. Made-to-order paintings usually take 2–3 weeks, and ready-to-ship paintings are delivered within 7–10 days.

Will my order be tracked?

Yes. You'll receive tracking details as soon as your order ships.

Do you have a showroom?

No, I don't have a physical showroom – my store is online only. Each product page shows the artwork, sizes and framing options. If you'd like to know more about a piece before ordering, contact me and I'll be happy to help.

Orders and payment

✦
What payment methods do you accept?

Credit or debit card (Shopify Payments), PayPal and Afterpay.

What is your returns policy?

Ready-made items can be returned within 10 days of delivery, in original condition. Prints and custom orders are made to order, so they can't be returned. If anything arrives damaged, contact me and I'll make it right. See the full refund policy.

Decorating with Islamic art

✦
Which Islamic wall art suits a living room or bedroom?

For a living room, a large piece or a multi-canvas set makes a strong focal point above the sofa. For a bedroom, softer colours and a single framed piece – like Ayatul Kursi or the 4 Quls – work well. Both are simple ways to bring Islamic wall decor into your home.

Where is the best place to hang Quranic art?

Many Muslims hang Quran verses and the Names of Allah at or above eye level, in a clean part of the home and away from bathrooms. It's a lovely way to bring Islamic home decor into a living room, entrance or prayer space.

Is Islamic wall art a good gift?

Yes. Quran wall art and Arabic calligraphy make a meaningful gift for a new home, a nikah, Eid or Ramadan. Prints are a great option for gifting, and they ship to Australia, New Zealand, the Gulf, the UK, the USA and Canada.
